Community Engagement Opportunity

Presented by the LEAD San Diego Alumni Council

Does the sight of arundo make you aggravated? Do you want to sweep scotch broom out of San Diego County?

San Diego is host to some of the most beautiful ecosystems in the world, but they are delicate and have to be preserved. Canyon Crusaders supports the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department, and is a way for San Diegans to fight against invasive plant species and clean litter from our urban canyons and open spaces.

WHEN:     Saturday, February 5

WHAT:      Volunteer duties include removing invasive plants, picking up trash and planting native plants and trees in Tecolote Canyon. Help protect the canyon and preserve this special space so that San Diegans can enjoy it for generations to come!
